Greg Abbott is an American politician who has been serving as the 48th Governor of Texas. He is the longest-serving governor in Texas history, having been in office since 2015. A member of the Republican Party, Abbott previously served as the Attorney General of Texas from 2002 to 2015 and as a justice on the Texas Supreme Court from 1996 to 2001.
