Jay Inslee is an American politician and lawyer who served as the 23rd governor of Washington from 2013 to 2025. Inslee is a fifth-generation Washingtonian with English and Welsh descent. He holds a Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law and previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Washington’s 4th congressional district from 1993 to 1995 and Washington’s 1st congressional district from 1999 to 2012.
