Lefty Gunplay is an American rapper. He grew up in a mobile trailer park with his mother and grandmother. His father is from Mississippi, and his mother is of Guatemalan descent. He started rapping seriously after being encouraged by fellow rapper Jap5 while in prison. Lefty Gunplay gained prominence with singles like “Spin the Block” and “Certified Stepper” in 2023. He signed with OTR Records and released several successful albums, including “Rookie of the Year” and “Most Valuable Gangbanger”. He featured on Kendrick Lamar’s hit single “TV Off”, which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
