Tim Sheehy is an American politician, businessman, aerial firefighter, and former Navy SEAL officer. He serves as the junior United States senator from Montana, a position he assumed in January 2025. Sheehy graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2008 and went on to become a Navy SEAL officer and team leader, completing multiple deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other regions. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor and Purple Heart for his military service. After leaving the military, Sheehy founded Bridger Aerospace, a leading aerial firefighting company, and co-founded the Little Belt Cattle Company, a sustainable cattle ranch. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2024, representing Montana as a Republican.
