Throughout his reign, Victor Emmanuel III played a significant role in shaping Italy’s history, from the country’s participation in both World Wars to the rise and fall of Fascism.
Born Vittorio Emanuele Ferdinando Maria Gennaro di Savoia on November 11, 1869, in Naples, Italy, and died on December 28, 1947, at the age of 78 in Alexandria, Egypt.
