
Raymond Massey was a Canadian actor. He’s best known for his iconic portrayals of Abraham Lincoln in “Abe Lincoln in Illinois” (1940) and Dr. Leonard Gillespie in the TV series “Dr. Kildare” (1961-1966). Massey served in both World Wars, studied at Oxford University, and was part of a prominent Canadian family that owned the Massey-Harris tractor company. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his Lincoln performance and was honored with two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
