This iconic role earned him five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, and he won in 1984 and 1985. Selleck was a talented athlete in college, playing basketball and baseball at the University of Southern California. He is also an accomplished volleyball player and was even named honorary captain of the U.S. Olympic men’s team in 1984.

Just an opinion but Tom needs to lose 50 pounds and grow some curls back. I know he can’t be Magnum again, but that crew cut and widow’s peak make him resemble Dracula. OK, so he is older but be the best you can be at any age. Older is not an excuse for overweight; it is bad for the heart. He is overweight and looks sour and grouchy and bloated, and overall, seems uncomfortable in his skin on TV. He would be happier minus 50 pounds.
